Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
The therapists at Brown Psychological Services hold advanced degrees in clinical psychology and/or social work. By understanding the child’s strengths, developmental level, and particular needs, we are able to customize a treatment plan. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavior therapy, play therapy, solution-focused treatment, and psychodynamic therapy.
Using an integrative approach, we view children as part of their larger context and often intervene on multiple levels including the family and school. We work collaboratively with school professionals, other treatment providers, family members and caretakers to ensure progress toward treatment goals.
