Taryn Ferrera, Ph.D.

Dr. Ferrera graduated from the University of Maryland- College Park in 2005 and then continued at Fordham University where she graduated with a Ph.D. in School Psychology and a M.Ed. in Therapeutic Interventions.

Prior to joining Dr. Brown's team, Dr. Ferrera worked as a School Psychologist in schools throughout New Jersey to provide psychoeducational evaluations, therapy, and consultation to parents and teachers. Her clinical interests include work with children, teens, and adults, and the assessment and treatment of ADHD, learning disabilities, and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Ferrera's clinical approach to practice includes an integrative style that focuses on cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and family systems techniques to create a unique treatment plan based on the client's specific needs and strengths. Her experience as a researcher, clinician, and mother of three affirms there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and that the development of a strong therapeutic relationship with the client is an important first step to accelerate change.
